FG Will Not Condone Further Attacks By Herdsmen, Says Dambazau The Federal Government has assured Nigerians in all parts of the country that it will not condone further attacks by herdsmen. Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), gave the assurance on Monday at a meeting with some state governors in Abuja, the nation’s capital. He told the governors that President Muhammadu Buhari remains committed to ensuring peace in every part of the country. State governors present include Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Abubakar Bello (Niger), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Darius Ishaku (Taraba), and Mohammad Jibrilla (Adamawa) among others. Also in attendance were the Inspector-General of Police, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, representative of the Department of State Services and Commissioners of Police from the five states who were later joined by the Nasarawa State governor, Tanko Al-Makura.
